Lacoste

The Lacoste legend began in Boston in 1923, when French tennis superstar René Lacoste was given the nickname “alligator” for his tenacity on the court. Back home, alligator became crocodile, and soon René Lacoste’s L12.12 polo shirts were sporting a crocodile logo. World number one in 1926-27, Lacoste won seven Grand Slam titles and two Davis Cups. Today René Lacoste’s legacy is the “world of Lacoste”: clothing and fashion accessories designed with the same quality, comfort and relaxed elegance on which Lacoste built its name..
